REASI, Dec 21: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Reasi Police rescued 37 bovines near Katra and arrested the accused.
The bovines were being smuggled in a truck bearing registration number JK02CX-9382, which was intercepted during naka checking at PCP Nomain.
Police team rescued 37 bovines, which were being transported without valid permission from the District Magistrate. Besides, Police seized the truck and arrested its truck driver, identified as Mohd Khalid, son of Mohd Dawood, resident of Bhaga, Tehsil and District Reasi.
In this connection, a case FIR number 385/2023, Under Section 188/IPC 11PC Act, 2/3 PDPP Act has been registered at PS Katra.
