37 police officers promoted

SRINAGAR: As many as 37 officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police were promoted in the valley here today.

Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar, while chairing Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) at Police Headquarters here today, cleared 37 In Situ promotions (salary hike). The officers promoted for next higher grade include a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), 34 Inspectors and 2 Sub-Inspectors.

Mr Kumar said that the State police have been making all efforts to provide promotion avenues to its personnel in all the ranks. He said that all relevant records have been updated at different levels to ensure quick implementation of recommendations of different (DPCs) and timely promotion of the personnel.

The promotees include DSP (Rtd) Ghulam Nabi, Inspectors Tundup Dorjay, Assadullah Bhat, Naresh Kumar, Deedar Singh, Ratish Sambyal, Rajesh Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Jatinder Singh, Barkat Hussain, Mohammad Maqbool, Siraj-u-Din, Pankaj Sharma, Mohammad Iqbal, Satesh Raina, Khushid Ahmed, Pawan Kumar, Vishal Sharma, Prehlad Kumar, Sharat Chander, Anil Kumar, Mohammad Yousuf, Anita katel, Abdul Rehman, laxmi Kant, Mushaq Ahmed, Surinder Pal Singh, Manjit Singh, Manzoor Ahmed, Fayaz Ahmed, Ranbir Singh, Vinay Kumar, Shankar Bhadur, Krishan Rattan and Ajay Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Vijay Kumar and Padembev Singh.
