JAMMU, Aug 17: 38 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated Independence Day with religious fervour and gaiety.
Second IC of the Battalion Somnath Maharna along with Deputy Commandant JP Sharma visited far flung posts of this unit and interacted with the jawans, school children and villagers.
The Battalion also organized cultural programme, games and bhandara at base camp Bhagwati Nagar on the successful completion of the Shri Amarnath Yatra.
It is to mention that, 38th Battalion of CRPF was deputed at base camp Bhagwati Nagar and other places for the security of the of Shri Amaranth pilgrims.
