SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Assembly speaker Kavinder Gupta today reviewed the security and other related arrangements for the upcoming Budget Session of the State Legislature from May 25.

The Speaker instructed the officers for installation of X-Ray screening System for the scanning of hand bags, brief cases and mail during the course of the Session within the premises of the Legislature Complex and MLAs Hostel Srinagar and installation of hot line telephone within the security booth.

The Speaker asked the Traffic department to ensure proper regulation of traffic leading to the Legislature Complex and MLAs Hostel during the entire session. He asked the authorities of fire & emergency services for provision of adequate fire tenders within the Assembly premises and MLAs Hostel Srinagar and to meet any kind of situation.

Mr Gupta asked the officers of Public Health and Power Development Departments to provide uninterrupted safe drinking water and power supply to the Legislature Complex and MLAs Hostel Srinagar.

He asked the Health department to provide adequate medical facility both Allopathic and ISM along with life saving drugs, oxygen and two well equipped ambulances besides a team of physicians/surgeon specialists.

The Speaker asked the Information Department to assist and keep harmonious relations between the media and legislature and to ensure a proper coverage of the proceedings of the House besides to make available sufficient number of Mikes/PAS within the Assembly Hall as a standby measure as well as in the parking area.
