NDA’s second anniversary function to be launched by PM Modi from Saharanpur

Lucknow  : Prime Minister Narendra Modi  will launch a week long NDA government’s two year achivement drive from Saharanpur in west Uttar Pradesh on May 26, the day when the Central government completes two years term.         The campaign drive named ‘ Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Tak’ will involve all the union ministers , party’s MPs and legislators and other leaders between May 26 and May 31.        PM Mr Modi is  also slated to visit his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi for a night stay on May 25  as part of the  two-year anniversary celebrations.But officials are yet to confirm it.       PM’ s programme in Saharanpur seems to be an important one in view of the BJP’s Mission UP assembly polls 2017 and the rally would be an informal launch of poll campaign in the state by the party.       UP BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak  said here today that BJP’s General Secretary (organisation )of the state  Sunil Bansal is visiting Saharanpur today to review the preparation for the PM’s programme on May 26.       He said that all the MPs have been asked to organise jan chaupals in all the blocks of their constituency besides every MP would attend programmes in six other states of the country besides their home state.       During the week long programme the BJP leaders will have to report back the details of their programmes held to the regional office besides posting it on the whatsup group for its publicity.          Meanwhile , UP BJP will be organising a workshop here in Lucknow on May 21 to impart the district and regional leaders about the programme and other matters of the party. The workshop would be attended by district presidents, district in-charges  and regional chiefs.        Last year on the first anniversary of  the NDA government , the PM had addressed a public rally at the birthplace of Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder Deen Dayal Upadhyaya in a village in Mathura.  (Agencies)
