JAMMU, Oct 24: Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, conducted its third circuit sitting at the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Center, Melongthang, Leh.
The session was graced by the presence of members of the judiciary and legal fraternity. RS Dogra (Member Judicial) and Ram Mohan Johri (Member Administration), were welcomed by Shashi Kant Bhagat, Secretary of Law and Justice along with other law officials of Ladakh.
The proceedings were further supported by officials from relevant departments. Over the course of two days, the bench is set to hear 16 cases at the ADR Center.
On the first day, 12 out of the 16 listed cases, involving multiple departments of the Union Territory of Ladakh, were heard. The members conducted the hearings with great diligence and patience, ensuring that justice is delivered promptly.
Officers from various departments were present during the sitting, providing necessary support to the counsel, which reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing legal matters in the region.
This circuit sitting marks a significant step towards ensuring that the citizens of Ladakh have access to justice and that their legal concerns are effectively addressed within the Union Territory.
