JAMMU, Sept 9: Akhnoor police arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 5010 stake money and playing cards from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team conducted raid in Sungal Morh area and apprehended four gamblers along with Rs 5010 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bhagwan Dass, son of Parma Nand of Sungal, Ganesh Lal Sharma, son of Dharam Chand of Raje Chak, Harbans Lal, son of Dwarka Nath of Gurha Jagir and Vishal Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Raje Chak tehsil Akhnoor.
Subsequently all the persons have been booked under Section 13 Gambling Act by Akhnoor Police and will be produced before the court of law.
Police team led by Munish Anand SDPO Akhnoor and Inspector Shiv Dev Singh SHO Akhnoor made the arrest under the supervision of SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
