JAMMU, Aug 16: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested four drug peddlers along with 400 grams heroin and Rs 8000 cash.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police team recovered 400 grams heroin from the possession of two persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Jameel Ahmed, son of Khursheed Ali and Rafiq Ahmed, son of Din Mohd, both residents of Bathindi District Jammu.
During questioning of the arrested accused, they revealed names of two more drug peddlers and police team also arrested them.
They were identified as Ashfaq Ahmed Naikoo, son of Abdul Rehman of District Kulgam and Zareena Akther, wife of Talib Hussain of Bathindi District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 200/2022 under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma.
