4 attempts of bovine smuggling foiled; 33 animals rescued

REASI, Apr 14: District Police Reasi today foiled four attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 33 bovine animals besides arresting five smugglers.
Reports said that team of Police Post Dhansal laid a surprise naka at Dansal area and intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Ghulam Rubani son of Noor Alam of Kanthan. 5 bovines animals were rescued from his possession.
The accused was arrested on the spot and a case FIR number 48 /2022, under section 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Arnas.
Another bovine smuggling bid was foiled by team of Police Post Thanol during surprise naka checking at Thanol area. Four bovines were rescued from the possession of smuggler namely Isaaq son of Sai of Beaulian Pouni. In this regards a case FIR number 49/2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1)(a) PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas and accused was arrested.
Foiling another incident of bovines smuggling, Police team of Police Post Dhansal intercepted one Tofail Hussain son of Javaid of Panasa and recovered four bovines from his possession. In this regard, another case FIR No. 51 /2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1) (a) PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas.
In another success, Police Party of Police Post Shajroo Mahore rescued ten bovines from the possession of Amjad Ali son of Mohd Rafiq and Asif Ali son of Nazakat Ali, both residents of Gajoure, Tehsil Pouni. District Reasi.
In this connection a case FIR No. 24/2022 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore and both the accused were arrested.
