REASI, June 10: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Arnas and rescued four animals besides arresting the accused person.
Specific information was received at Police Station Arnas that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with some bovine animals, without any legal permission. On this, a Police team from P/S Arnas and SPP Bassan, laid a naka at Bassan and rescued four bovine animals from the possession of accused person, namely Mohammad Rafiq of Bassan Arnas.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case in this connection.
