UDHAMPUR, May 2: Chenani Police today foiled another attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four animals, which were being transported to Kashmir in Ata Mobile vehicle.
Acting on reliable information, a Police team from PP Chenani laid a surprise naka at Motor Shed on the National Highway and intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK14D-1256.
The vehicle was found loaded with four bovine animals, which were rescued. Police also seized the vehicle while its driver managed to escape from the spot.
In this connection a case has been registered at Police Station Chenani.
