UDHAMPUR, June 13: Udhampur Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four number of cattle, which were being smuggled to Kashmir in Tata Mobile vehicle.
The Tata Mobile, bearing Registration Number JK02BX- 9688 was intercepted at Jakhani naka point. During search, 04 bovine animals were found packed in the vehicle without any valid permission.
All the four bovine animals were rescued while driver of the vehicle, namely Mohd Akthar son of Mohd Noor Din of Anantnag was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, case under relevant section of law was registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
