4 bovine smugglers held

JAMMU, June 5: Police today arrested four bovine smugglers and rescued 17 milch animals in two different incidents.
Police spokesman said that, police party from Gool Police Station intercepted three persons who were carrying 13 bovine animals on foot to valley, without legal permission.
Two persons namely Mohd Rafiq, son of Gulam Mohd and Altaf Hussain, son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Sarbagni, Ramsoo, were arrested while one of their accompliance Lal Mohd, son of Gulam Mohd Gegi, resident of Duksal, Gool, gave slip to the police party and fled from the spot.
In another incident, police party from Batote Police Station seized one Tata 407 bearing registration No JKO2AN 2995, carrying four milch animals towards valley.
Two persons namely Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Nabi and Mohd Moosa, son of Feroz Din, both residents of Kanga, Ramban were arrested.
Cases under relevant sections stands registered at Police Station Gool and Police Station Ramban and started further investigation .
