4 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, May 27: Police rescued 4 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers from Troti road, falling under the jurisdiction of Jourian police post.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Jourian police post laid a naka at Troti road and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK19-2085.
During checking, police rescued four bovine animals and arrested two smugglers, who have been identified as Mubassir Malik of Chambalwas, Banihal and driver Abdul Hamid, son of Jamaal Din of Kanga, Ramban.
Two of the accused identified as Bashir Ahmed of Sangaldhan and Sham Lal of Troti escaped from the spot.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Jourian police post and investigation started.
Police team headed by incharge police post Jourian made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Farooq Qaiser.
