4 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, July 21: Nagrota police rescued 4 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03G-3431 and JK02BL-7886.
During checking, police teams rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Rafaqat Ali, son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Lakhanpur Kathua and Abdul Latief, son of Abdul Ghani of Batroo Magarkote Tehsil Ukhral District Ramban.
Cases under FIR Numbers 286/2020 and 287/2020 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh.
