4 bovines rescued

UDHAMPUR, Nov 8: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley in a vehicle.
The said vehicle, Mahindra 207, bearing registration number JK20B-3349, was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Raghubir Singh, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur at Jakhani naka.
Driver of the said vehicle fled away from the spot by taking advantage of heavy traffic on road. The police team seized the vehicle and rescued all the bovines.
In this connection, case FIR number 464/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
The overall drive was conducted under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar.
