4 bovines rescued, vehicle seized

UDHAMPUR, Apr 15: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four bovines, which were being smuggled in a vehicle to Kashmir.
Police team of Police Station Kud led by its SHO while performing vehicle checking duty at Kud Naka point signalled to stop one.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK14K- 8040, was intercepted at Kud Naka point by a Police team. On seeing the police, driver abandoned the vehicle and fled away. During checking, four bovines were found tied cruelly inside the vehicle. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place.
In this regard, a case FIR number 13/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kud.
