4 cases of impersonation detected in ITI exams

SRINAGAR, Aug 3: The authorities today detected four cases of impersonation at Industrial Training Institute, Kupwara in the All India level trade test for various trades.
Reports said that an inspection team headed by Secretary State Board of Technical Education, Nazir Ahmad Malik, caught the proxy candidates red handed while appearing in the examination in at least two trades of cutting & sewing and electrician on the final day of the examination (theory).
Proxy candidates were appearing for Soziya Khalid with roll number 987 and Shazia Bashir with roll number 1003. Both these candidates are the students of cutting and sewing trade. Two other candidates of the electrician trade also did not appear in the examination and in their place two proxy candidates appeared in the examination who were also caught red handed.
Following complaints, an inspection team headed by Secretary, State Board of Technical Education visited ITI Kupwara and detected the fraud. The authorities seized the record of ITI Kupwara and also the attendance sheet of the candidates appearing in the examination.
Sources said that impersonation has been going on at the ITI Kupwara centre since the start of the examination from July 30. While the theoretical examinations concluded today the practical examination is going to start from August 4.
Meanwhile, sources said that the answer sheets of the candidates appearing in the examination at ITI Kupwara are yet to reach the main office of State Board of Technical Education. Under rules the sheets should reach the main office on the same day.
