KATHUA, Nov 26: To highlight the month long activities/programmes under SVEEP, District Election Office organised 4-day Photo Exhibition at Auditorium of Government Degree College Kathua.
The Photo Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Shahid lqbal Choudhary, District Election Officer alongwith Mahindra Pal, Election Expenditure Observer for Kathua & Hiranagar Assembly constituencies and Balvinder Singh, Election Expenditure Observer for Bani, Basohli & Billawar Assembly constituencies.
DEO while speaking on the ocassion said that the motive behind this photo exhibition is to showcase the efforts of the entire team of District Administration involving every stakeholder for the electoral awareness especially women and youth besides special provisions for disabled and aged voters under the SVEEP across the district.
He said this exhibition is also an effort to portray each and every activity related to election viz extensive trainings of election staff, EVM demonstrations for the successful completion of Assembly elections. He appealed people of Kathua especially young voters to visit the exhibition to know the electoral process and technicalities.
Among others RO- Kathua G Prasanna Ramaswamy, ADDC Kathua Narinder Singh Bali, ARO Kathua Anshul Garg, CEO LSDA Nodal Officer for SVEEP, Nodal Officer for Media & MCMC Indu Jamwal, Nodal Officer for Expenditure Monitoring, AD Planning B.R Sharma. Principal GDC Kathua B.N Gupta besides district officers and large number of students and citizens of Kathua town were present on the occasion.
