JAMMU, Jan 9: A 4-day Poetry Festival concluded here today with UT level Urdu Mushiara.
Organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, the event was held at K L Saigal Seminar Hall from 6th to 9th of January in which 100 poets drawn from different parts of J&K participated. They recited their latest creations before young poets of four languages.
Today’s event was presided over by renowned Urdu poet Pritpal Singh Betaab. Renowned writers Khursheed Bismal, Dr Shahnaz Qadri –HoD Urdu MAM College were in the presidium.
The prominent poets who recited their poems, included Ahmed Shanas, Pritpal Singh Betab, Ahmed Shanas, Raj Kumar Chandan, Gh Sarwar Chouhan, Mohan Singh Ulfat , Parwaiz Malik, Khursheed Bismal, Geetika Kholi, Naseem Akhter , Dr Shahnaz Qaderi, Fauzia Mughal, Shahbaz Chowdhary, Amin Sobinia, Ameen Banihali, Tariq Ali Raza, Adil Farhat, Arif Malik, Irfan Arif and Sahel Imran.
