DC, 4 more docs test positive
One more casualty, 60 cases in Ladakh

JAMMU, Nov 18: Four persons died of COVID-19 in the Jammu region today-two each from Jammu and Doda districts-and 241 tested positive while 234 recovered from the virus.
The Deputy Commissioner Ramban, who is a KAS officer, today tested positive for Coronavirus.
He has been kept in home isolation at Batote. However, his family members tested negative for pathogen.
Four more doctors were also infected by the virus today. During last few days, many doctors have tested positive for COVID-19.
A 72-year-old man from Ghat area of Doda district died in Narayana Hospital Katra due to Coronavirus four days after his admission there. He had no co-morbidity.
An 83-year-old man from Prem Nagar Bhella in Doda with no ailments but positive for the virus breathed his last in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu just a day after admission.
A 58-year-old man hailing from village Bagga Jana in RS Pura tehsil of Jammu district died in the Dayanand Medical College (DMC) Ludhiana due to co-morbidities and Coronavirus. He was hospitalized for the last eight days.
A 46-year-old man from Rajiv Nagar in Narwal area of Jammu died of ailments and COVID-19 in the GMC Jammu within a day of admission.
Among 241 Corona positive cases in Jammu region, 96 were reported in Jammu district including seven each from Dansal and Bishnah, five each Marh and Sohanjana, four Pallanwalla and one each at Akhnoor and RS Pura.
Udhampur district also reported 50 new cases while Doda and Kishtwar recorded 25 and 20 new cases respectively. Sixteen new cases were reported from Kathua, 10 Ramban, nine Samba, seven Rajouri, six Poonch and two in Reasi district.
Of 234 persons, who recovered from the virus today, 95 hailed from Jammu district, 40 Reasi, 23 Udhampur, 22 Ramban, 19 Kishtwar, 13 Kathua, 11 Doda, 10 Rajouri and one in Poonch district. Samba district didn’t report any recoveries today.
Jammu region now has 41302 Corona cases. Of them, 1663 are active positives while 39094 have recovered from the virus and there were 545 casualties in the region.
Among the casualties, 285 have been reported from Jammu district followed by 52 Doda, 48 Rajouri, 36 Udhampur, 34 Kathua, 26 Samba, 22 Poonch, 18 Ramban, 16 Kishtwar and eight in Reasi district.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported one more casualty and 60 new Corona cases.
A 69-year-old woman from Skara Yokma in Leh district died of COVID-19 taking the UT’s toll to 94 including 54 in Leh and 40 in Kargil.
Among 60 new cases, 59 were reported from Leh and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 7623 Corona cases. Among them, 924 are active positives while 6605 have recovered.
