4 die of COVID in Kashmir, 98 fresh cases in J&K; 11 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Nov 1: After several days, Kashmir division today reported four COVID casualties and 84 fresh cases while Jammu region accounted for 14 new cases. Active positive cases in Jammu region came below 100 today after several months.
The Union Territory of Ladakh registered 11 fresh cases.
Three of those who died were from Srinagar and one from Budgam districts taking the J&K death toll due of COVID-19 to 4436 including 2260 from Kashmir.
Srinagar reported 56 cases, Baramulla 10,Budgam 4, Kupwara 5, Bandipora 1 and Ganderbal 8.
Moreover, 97 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, including 80 from Kashmir, they said.
So far 327012 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 899 including 801 in Kashmir.
In October, 10 deaths were reported as compared to September during which 14 deaths were reported in J&K.
The positive cases have also decreased as 2,819 cases were reported in October as compared to 4,011 cases in September.
As per the data, 2,819 cases including 2,290 from Kashmir and 529 from Jammu were reported in the month of October in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, 10 deaths which include 7 from Kashmir and 3 from Jammu divisions were reported in October.
Among 14 cases in the Jammu region, seven were recorded in Jammu district, two in Doda and one each in Udhampur, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi districts. Kathua, Samba and Poonch districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
As against 14 new cases, 17 persons recovered from the virus bringing number of active positive cases in the Jammu region down to 98.
All 11 cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
The UT of Ladakh now has 67 active positive cases including 62 in Leh and five in Kargil.
