4 drug peddlers arrested in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 2: Police today arrested 4 drug peddlers in Budgam and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Budgam at a checkpoint established at Choon Crossing intercepted a vehicle (Maruti Eeco) bearing registration number JK04H-1091 with two persons on board.
During the search, police said, 5.36 grams of Heroin was recovered from their possession.
They have been identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Mir son of Mohammad Sultan Mir resident of Choon Budgam and Shahbaaz Nisar son of Nisar Ahmad Ahangar resident of Ichgam, police said.
Police further said that during the investigation and on the disclosure of arrested persons, 02 more accused persons namely Javeed Ahmad Lone son of Bashir Ahmad Lone resident of Eidgah Mohalla Humhama & Raqeeb Ahmad Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar resident of Gonikhan Srinagar A/P Gogoo Humhama have also been arrested in the instant case.
“7.72 grams of Heroin and cash of Rs 6400/= was recovered from their possession.
