4 drug peddlers arrested in Sopore

SRINAGAR, July 16: Police today arrested 4 drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
A Police Party led by SHO Police Station Tarzoo at a checkpoint established at Railway Crossing Amargarh intercepted 4 suspicious persons who tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully.
During the search, police said, 984 tablets of SpasmoProxyvon Plus were recovered from their possession.
“They have been identified as Zubair Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Muhammad resident of Badambagh Sopore, Junaid Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Neharpora Sopore, Muhammad Asif Mir son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Shalpora Sopore and Rouf Ahmad Chopan son of Muhammad Subhan resident of Lolab Kupwara. They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 61/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been initiated.
