Bhaderwah, Dec 7: Police seized 2 kilograms heroin worth Rs 5 crore in international market from a vehicle at Kulsari area here and arrested 4 persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team under the supervision of SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed and led by Additional SP Bhaderwah Raj Singh Gouria, SDPO Adil Rishu, SHO Shameem Ahmed and SI Mukesh Sharma laid a naka at Kulsari area on Doda-Bhaderwah road and intercepted a Wagon R car bearing registration number JK02X-7121.
During checking, police team recovered 2 kilograms of heroin and arrested four persons traveling in the car.
The arrested persons were identified as Asadulah Ahangar, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Pahalgam District Anantnag, Riaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Mattan District Anantnag, Mohammad Shafi, son of Noor Mai of Chilli-Baie Gandoh, District Doda and Sultan Mohammad, son of Mohammad Hussain of Chilli-Balla Gandoh, District Doda.
A case under FIR Number 182/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhadarwah and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
