POONCH, June 2: Four members of a family were seriously injured after a speeding car was rammed into a stationary loaded truck in Potha area of Sunrakote in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when one Mohd Iqbal (38), son of Lal Din, resident of Bhata Durian in Mendhar, was on way to Poonch from his native village along with wife and two children.
As the car (JK-12A/2557) was speeding, and it rammed into a stationary truck ( JK02AM/ 1911), parked on the road at Potha ( Surankote) loaded with Saria, grills etc. All the four sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Sub District Hospital, Surankote. They were identified as Mohd Iqbal (38), his wife Nahida Akhtar (32), Rabia Kouser (4 yrs) and Mohd Haseen- son (2yrs). The police has taken cognizance of the case.
