JAMMU, May 25: Police today booked four gamblers and recovered Rs 14,880 cash from their possession.
Police spokesman said that on the basis of specific information a police party from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Rajinder Sharma conducted a raid in Nai Basti area and arrested four gamblers.
The arrested gamblers have been identified as Sunny, son of Ashok Kumar, Ravinder Kumar, son of Shiv Dev, Vishal Gupta, son of Subash Gupta and Raj Kumar, son of Shivdyal, all the residents of Nai Basti.
A case has been registered against them under Gambling Act.
