KATRA, Aug 3: Police arrested four gamblers from Banganga area and recovered Rs 3700 as stake money from their possession, here last night.
Acting on a specific information, a team of Police Post Banganga, led by PSI Gurvinder Singh, I/C PP Banganga, conducted a raid and apprehended the accused red handed while playing cards.
Rs 3700 stake money was recovered from possession of the accused, who were identified as Vakil Singh of Jangal Gali Udhampur, Parkash Singh of Jangal Gali, Ramesh Singh of Jangal Gali and Mangu Ram of Laddo Kothri. All of them are working as Ponywallas on the track from Banganga to Bhawan.
Police has booked them under 13 Gambling Act.
