SRINAGAR, Dec 16: Police today arrested four gamblers along with Rs 15,000 stake money and play cards from village Laraw Kakapora in Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Kakapora Police Station headed by SHO Manzoor Ahmad conducted a raid at village Laraw Kakapora in Pulwama district and arrested four gamblers.
The gamblers have been identified as Gulzar Dar, son of Mohammad Sideeq of Kakapora, Mushtaq Wani, son of Wali Mohammad, Ghulam Ganaie, son of Laal Ganaie and Owais Akhoon, son of Nazir Ahmad, trio residents of Laraw Kakapora.
“Rs 15000 stake money and play cards were seized from their possession”, he added.
A case under FIR number 335/13 under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Kakapora and investigation started.
