JAMMU, June 2: Police arrested four hardcore criminals along with arms and ammunition.
As per police sources, in a swift action after generating a specific input of some gang war, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma arrested four hard core criminals and recovered one country made pistol along with live cartridges from Yudhvir Singh alias Bablu, son of Aaya Singh who is a resident of Agra Chak RS Pura.
Three more criminals namely Vijay Kumar, son of Nagar Mal of RS Pura, Raj Kumar alias Johnny, son of Bahadur Singh and Narinder, son of Kakka Ram, all residents of RS Pura were also arrested with sharp edged arms.
All the arrested criminals were planning to attack on the members of some opposite rival gang.
It is pertinent to mention that Yudhvir Singh is involved in 18 more FIRs in Jammu and was recently released from Central Jail Kot Bhalwal. Other arrested criminals are also the history sheeters of the Police Station RS Pura.
With their arrests a major tragedy has been averted in the town and general public is feeling a sigh of relief.
Subsequently, a fresh case under FIR Number 102/2020 under section 3/7/8/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Aadil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
