POONCH, Nov 10: The police has arrested four persons in connection with theft at a Ziarat at Bandichechian in district Poonch.
Official sources said that action was taken after a written complaint was received from the management of the Ziarat Takia Sharief, Bandichechian that some unknown people have stolen Rs 60,000 cash from the locker of the Ziarat.
The police party led by SHO Poonch, Insp Ranjit Rao constituted a team and started investigation. The police on the basis of some inputs, picked up three suspects and placed them under sustained interrogation. They broke and admitted their involvement in the case. Police arrested all the three and registered a case FIR No. 232/2022 against them. Rs 20,000 cash was also recovered from them.
They were identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Mohd Azam, Ahsaan Ahmed, son of Mohd Farooq and Yasin Ahmed, son of Mohd Bashir, all hailing from the same area. On their disclosure, police also nabbed one Shoib Ahmed, son of Mohd Qasim , resident of Shahpur village in Poonch. Further investigation was in progress.
