UDHAMPUR, May 9: Continuing its offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Udhampur Police today seized 23 grams of heroin from four accused, arrested at Circular road and Bus Stand area.
According to SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, a Police patrolling party led by SHO Udhampur, Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl SP Udhampur, caught two suspected persons at Circular Road for checking and during their search, 13 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession.
Police seized the recovered heroin and arrested the duo, identified as Raju Sheikh of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur and Abhishek Dogra alias Chichi of Lambi Gali, Udhampur. In this connection, a case FIR number 188/2020, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at PS Udhampur.
In another success, the same Police patrolling party caught two more suspected persons for checking at Bus Stand, Udhampur and recovered 10 grams of heroin like substance from their possession. The accused, identified as Arun Singh, resident of Near MH Chowk and Sahil Kumar of Chabutra Bazar, Udhampur were arrested on the spot and recovered heroin was seized.
In this connection, another case FIR number 189/2020, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur.
