JAMMU, Sept 25: Kishtwar Police today arrested four fraudsters along with Rs 35 lakh cash when they were about to leave the district after cheating Jammu-based person.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Kishtwar, Yougal Manhas told EXCELSIOR that one Mukesh Sharma, son of Bua Ditta of Akhnoor came into contact with a woman namely Jia Chowdhary, wife of Ram Pal of Jaipur for purchase of Radiation Product commonly known as RP, which has huge value in the national market.
As part of the deal, Mukesh Sharma transferred Rs 13 lakh in the bank account of Jia Chowdhary and thereafter it was decided that final payment would be made by Mukesh Sharma on receiving Radiation Product from Jia Chowdhary’s contacts at Kishtwar.
Accordingly, Jia Chowdhary along with Naresh Kumar, son of Muni Lal of Rohini, Delhi, Mubarak Bakhtoo, son of Abdul Gaffar, a resident of London presently putting up in New Delhi and Abdul Qayoom, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Nishat, Srinagar reached Kishtwar.
Similarly, Mukesh Sharma along with three other persons reached Kishtwar and gave Rs 22 more to Jia Chowdhary and party. However, instead of delivering Radiation Project, Jia Chowdhary and her associates escaped from the Kishtwar town in a vehicle.
On this, Mukesh Sharma lodged a complaint with Kishtwar Police, which immediately swung into action and arrested all the four fraudsters before they could leave the district. Rs 35 lakh cash was recovered from their possession.
