4 injured as mini-bus turns turtle

JAMMU, Nov 3: Four persons were injured after a mini-bus turned turtle near Shakuntla theatre area here today.
As per police sources, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02W-5523 was on its way to Bagh-e-Bahu from Janipur when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle in the middle of the road, resulting into injuries to four persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Traffic was blocked for about half an hour after the minibus overturned on the busy BC Road.
Finally, police personnel reached the site and removed the minibus from the road with the help of a crane, after which traffic was restored once again.
The injured were identified as Kamlesh, wife of Balwinder Kumar of Janipur, Anuj Kumar, son of Ram Preet of Bihar, at present Janipur, Nitesh Kumar, son of Bagad Paswan of Bihar, at present Janipur and Yasmin, daughter of Khazar Mohammad of Ladakh, at present Rehari.
A case under FIR Number 186/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and hunt has been launched to nab the driver, who managed to escape from the spot after the accident.
