4 injured as Sumo rolls down

UDHAMPUR, Oct 18: Four persons were injured when the Tata Sumo they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Moud area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-7021 was on its way to Udhampur from Gandoh, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Moud area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into injuries to four persons.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where their condition was stated to be stable when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Abdul Majeed (24), son of Farooq Ahmed, Amer Javed (22), son of Javed Iqbal, Hazur Din (22), son of Noor Din and Yasir (25), son of Mohammad Shafi, all residents of Gandoh District Doda.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Udhampur Police Station and investigation started.
