4 injured in bloody clash, 13 booked

MENDHAR, Sept 14: Four persons were injured in a bloody clash over a land dispute at village Kas Baladi in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch today.

A police official said that one Mohd Hanief had purchased some land in Khasra No. 216 from one Rehmat Jan (60), about two decades back at Kas Baladi. There was some dispute between both the families  for quite some time over land issue. The first party was also demanding some pending money while second party was claiming that they had made full and final payment.
Today, both the parties after heated exchanges clashed with each other and also freely exchanged some lethal and sharp edged weapons. In the clash four women including Rehmat Jan were injured. They were admitted to Sub District Hospital.
The police registered a case FIR No. 172/ 2017 U/S 307/ 382/ 147/148/149/323 RPC against Mohammed Hanief and 12 other persons at Mender  Police Station. SHO, Insp Abid Rafiqi said that they have registered a case and police parties were conducting raids to arrest the accused persons.
