4 injured in clash over land dispute

MENDHAR, Oct 5: Four persons were injured, one of them seriously in a group clash over a land dispute at Ari village in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that members of Mohd Said party allegedly attacked Mohd Latief and his family members when Latief and others objected to the entry of rival party members into the land in his possession at Ari. Both parties freely exchanged lathis and sharp edged weapons. Four members of Latief party were injured. Shamim Akhtar, wife of Latief was attacked on her head with an axe and was seriously injured. She was rushed to Mendhar hospital and later referred to the GMC Hospital, Jammu.
Three others injured were identified as Aurangzeb, Nazia Kouser and Mohd Shakoor. The police has registered a case FIR No. 128/15 in this connection. 13 members of the rival party have been booked for murderous attack.
