SAMBA, Oct 19: District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered four kgs of poppy straw from his possession.
A police party of Police Station, Bari Brahmana headed by SHO, Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Sunil Kesar while performing patrolling duty in Balole Khad industrial area intercepted a white colour Activa scooty without Registration Number which was moving towards Bari Brahmana.
During frisking of the scooty rider, four kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
He has been identified as Khuda Baksh, S/o Bashir Ahmed, R/o Rajpur Koular. He was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 176/2019 U/S 8/15/25 NDPS Act registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
