4 killed in accident

POONCH, Nov 4: Four persons including a two-year-old child were killed while three others seriously injured when a mini-bus rolled down into a deep gorge after some mechanical failure and fell down into a nallah near Guntrian village in district Poonch today.
Reports said that the mishap took place at around 7.30 am when the ill-fated mini-bus bearing registration No. JK02J/ 5761 was on way to Poonch from Shahpur Ziarat. As it reached near Guntrian, the driver lost control on a sharp curve and the vehicle rolled down into the deep nallah and turned into wreckage. One portion of the vehicle was torn apart along with front wheels and got trapped in big boulders and rocks .
The three persons were killed on the spot while the fourth succumbed to his injuries on way to GMC hospital, Jammu. Those killed on spot were identified as Abdul Ghani, son of Abdullah and his 2 year old son, residents of Samote; Mohd Yousuf, son of Ghulam Qadir from Chamber Kanari and Nazir Hussain from Noona Bandi.
Police said Nazir passed away while being shifted to GMC Jammu. Three injured referred to GMC Hospital Jammu are Sharifa Bi, wife of Abdul Ghani from Samote, Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Samad from Chamber Kanari, and Zuber Hussain, son of Nazir from Noona Bandi. The police has registered a case in this connection.
