4 shops burgled

RAJOURI, Feb 24: In a mid night operation, some unknown thieves committed burglaries in four shops at Muradpur on Jammu-Poonch highway near Rajouri town.
Sources said some unknown thieves broke open the shutters of four shops at Muradpur on the highway between 12 mid night and 3 am and decamped with goods and cash worth lakhs. They used vehicle for carrying stolen goods.
Out of the four shops burgled, two are Karyana shops belonging to Babu Ram, son of Karam Chand and Jagdish Raj, son of Dewan Chand- both residents of Muradpur. Third shop is Hind Motor Garage belonging to Dheeraj Tara, son of Charanji Lal of Muradpur while fourth one is Fast Food shop of Gourav Kumar, son of Ved Parkash.
The police party from Rajouri Police Station reached the spot in the morning, inspected spot and started investigation. It was believed that burglars had used technology, like cutters and pressure jacks of heavy vehicles to break shutters. They also carried away cash kept in the shops.
