JAMMU, Feb 6: Giving a strong message to all students pursuing Medical courses in GMC Rajouri, the administration at Medical College Rajouri set an example for all educational institutes in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir by suspending students involved in a scuffle and ragging , for a period of four weeks from all classes and hostels .
When contacted, Principal GMC Rajouri, Dr Amarjit Bhatia strong advocate of implementing J and K Prohibition of Ragging Act said no act of indicipline will be tolerated in the college premises by any one and further added that on the recommendations of anti ragging committe ,the action has been taken.
He said while they are following student friendly policies ,at the same time they will not allow few miscreants to disturb the peaceful environment of the college. He appealed the parents of all the students to guide their wards properly and to work hard to excel in their academic and extracurricular activities.
The tough stand of Administration of GMC Rajouri against the miscreants and Raggers is well appreciated in social circles.
