4 sustain injuries, teenaged girl consumes poison

JAMMU, May 5: Four persons sustained injuries in different road accidents while a teenaged girl made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming poisonous substance.
As per reports, two persons namely Hans Raj, son of Sobha Ram and Bodh Raj, son of Beli Ram, both residents of Assar, Doda, were injured when the truck in which they were traveling fell into gorge near Khelani, Doda. Both were shifted to district hospital, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialized treatment.
In another incident, Dalip Kumar, son of Madan Lal, resident of Satwari was injured when an auto hit him near Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar whereas Charanjit Kour, daughter of Balvinder Singh of Bakshi Nagar was injured in a road accident near Bakshi Nagar canal bridge.
Meanwhile, a teen aged girl Jalaka Begum, daughter of Liyakat Ali, of Phlayen Mandal, made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her home. Noticing her in unconscious state, family members shifted her to GMCH, where she was under treatment.
However, reason behind such extreme step could not be ascertained. A case has been registered at concerned police station.
