UDHAMPUR, Sept 16: In a major success against burglars Udhampur Police solved four theft cases and recovered the stolen property including Alto Car, Bike, jewelers and utensils worth Rs 13 lakhs.
Based on four separate complaints Uhampur Police registered cases and started investigation. During probe few suspects were rounded up and placed under sustained questioning by the investigating officers. During interrogation four of them confessed their involvement in the theft cases and upon their disclosure stolen items belonging to victims were also recovered and also identified by the complainants.
The recovered stolen items include one Alto Car bearing registration No JK02AA-0549, two bikes Royal Enfield JK14G-0961 and TVS Apache JK02CP-4683 and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.70 lakh, some copper material worth Rs 1.5 lakhs, batteries and Mobile phones worth Rs 1 lakh have been recovered.
Moreover unclaimed/stolen vehicles worth over Rs 6 lakhs have also been recovered from the said gang of thieves.
Police team led by SHO, PS Udhampur Insp Chaman Gorka under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar solved these theft cases.
