JAMMU, June 26: Acting tough on violators, Enforcement team of Motor Vehicles Department under supervision of Dr Raj K Thapa, RTO Kathua and comprising Kuldeep Singh, ARTO, Vikas Srivats and Kamal Kumar (MVIs) today seized four Tippers and compounded seven others in Kedian/ Goondh area. A total of Rs. 2.04 lakh was realized as fine from the violators. This special drive was carried out on the directions of RTO Kathua.
The violators were warned to desist from such serious violations in future or face more harsh penalties as per M. V. Act.
“Such type of special drives will be carried out on regular basis. Excess load was also offloaded from vehicles,” Thapa said.
