KATHUA, Sept 19: In order to curb the activities of illegal mining within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal seized four tractor trolleys involved in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Kathua.
Police said a team headed by Inspector, O P Chib, SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua Shammi Kumar during naka/checking duty at Kathua seized four tractor trolleys for carrying illegal mining material without any valid permission.
Meanwhile all the four tractor trolleys involved in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
