SAMBA, Dec 18: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police seized four vehicles including two tractors, one tipper and one dumper across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A police team of Police Station, Ramgarh while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area intercepted a tractor and a tipper bearing Registration Numbers JK02R-7838 and JK02G-4957 respectively at Keso Manhasan, Ramgarh for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
Police team of PP Mansar, while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Mansar, intercepted a dumper bearing Registration Number JK21E-9867 for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
Police team of PS Purmandal seized a tractor bearing Registration Number JK21-8924 at Khara Madana, Purmandal for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
All the four vehicles intercepted by Samba Police incidents were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
