REASI, May 31: In a tragic incident, a four -year old child died after hit by an accidental bullet shot by his brother in Maslot area, under the jurisdiction of Arnas Police Station.
Reports said that Vansh Singh (4), son of Mohinder Singh of village Lower Maslot village in tehsil Thuroo, died because of bullet injury at the house of his maternal grandfather, who is a VDC member.
The family members were working in the field when the deceased boy was playing inside the house along with his brother and both were fiddling with the gun, which suddenly went off resulting into bullet injury to Vansh Singh, who died on the spot.
“We have registered a case and confiscated the weapon, we are also trying to ascertain the reason as to how the gun went off,” said a Police official.
After conducting medical and legal formalities, body of the deceased boy was handed back to the family while a case has been registered in this regard at PS Arnas.
