RAJOURI, Sept 18: The police arrested four persons and recovered around 85 gms of heroin from their possession in Thanamandi area of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that a police party from Police Station Thanamandi during a naka at Manyal, stopped vehicles with registration numbers JK11A-4091 and JKO2AJ-4441 for checking. During checking 43 gms of heroin from two persons travelling in vehicle No. JK11A-4091. They were identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Faiz Mohd from Hari, Surankot and Sourav Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar, hailing from Muradpur in Rajouri.
During checking of vehicle No. JK02AJ-4441 around 42 gm of heroin was recovered from the possession of Vineet Sayal, son of Om Parkash resident of Salani Bridge Rajouri and Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, hailing from Seri Khawaja in Poonch. In relation to this, FIR 195/2021 u/s 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Thanamandi.
The accused were arrested and further investigation into the matter was initiated.
