RAJOURI, Apr 4: There was an atmosphere of chaos in Nagrota area on Rajouri- Kotranka road at around 2 pm on Thursday when a 4-years-old innocent child of an Army soldier was crushed to death by an Army vehicle while crossing the road.
Official sources said that the deceased Adnan Ali, son of Army jawan Mohammad Azam, studying in Nawaz Public School, Palma, was going home after school. After reaching Nagrota, the child got down from the school bus and was crossing the road to go towards his mother standing on the other side of the road when the army vehicle coming from behind crushed him.
The people present on the spot along with the child’s mother took him to GMC Rajouri where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Taking cognizance of the case, the police have registered a case under FIR No.126 u/s 304A IPC and handed over the body to the family after completing some legal formalities. The police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver.
