UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: Udhampur Police seized 40 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger near Town Hall area, here today.
Based on reliable information, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02AE-0884, was stopped for checking near Town Hall Udhampur by the police party of Police Station Udhampur. During search, 40 Pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from the car, which was being driven by one Sudesh Kumar of Salmerhi Udhampur.
Accused was arrested on the spot while vehicle and 40 pouches of illicit liquor were seized. In this connection, a case FIR number 355/2017 U/S 48 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
